Integration
Aseprite
Upload the sprite you have open as a PNG, through the running LoreOwl app.
How it works
- Run it
- File → Scripts → “Upload to LoreOwl vault”, with a sprite open.
- What is uploaded
- A PNG copy of the sprite, named after its file, or Untitled if it has not been saved. Your sprite and its saved state are not changed.
- How it connects
- To the LoreOwl app on your own machine, which does the upload. No token is kept in Aseprite.
- Needs
- LoreOwl running and signed in.
- First run
- Aseprite asks to let the script read a file and open a connection. Allow both, and tick “Don’t show again”.
Installing it
From the Integrations page in the LoreOwl app. It finds the app's settings folder for you.
- What it installs
- An Aseprite extension,
loreowl, in%APPDATA%\Aseprite\extensions, or underASEPRITE_USER_FOLDERif you set it. - Versions
- Aseprite 1.3 and later.
- Then
- Restart Aseprite.
- With a sprite open, choose File → Scripts → “Upload to LoreOwl vault”.
- Custom locations
- Add a folder by hand, for example a portable install. Folders you add stay after a rescan.
- Uninstalling
- Removes only what the install added.
What it does not do
- Uploads a PNG only, not the .aseprite file or a sprite sheet.
- No name field. The name comes from the file.
- No browsing or importing from the vault inside Aseprite.
- Windows only, because the desktop app it talks to is.
