Integration

Blender

Browse the vault, bring assets into your scene, and upload a .blend with its textures.

What the panel does

Press N in the 3D viewport and open the LoreOwl tab.

Browse the vault

Search, filter by type and tag, sort, and load more. Your storage use is shown too.

Place Asset

Downloads an asset into the project folder and can import it straight into the scene.

Place Selected Assets

Downloads several at once into a folder you choose, skipping or overwriting files that exist.

Export and Upload

Exports the scene as glTF, FBX, OBJ or USD and uploads that, with an optional viewport thumbnail.

Upload Current .blend

Saves, then uploads the .blend with its textures. Files the vault already has are linked, not sent again.

Checked before upload

Missing files and image sequences are flagged. Files outside the .blend's folder are left out unless you include them.

Importing

FBX, glTF, OBJ
Blender's own importers.
USD
.usd, .usda, .usdc and .usdz.
Another .blend
Pick collections, objects, materials or meshes to append or link.

Sign in once, in the app

No pairing code to type and no token to paste.

When you sign in to the LoreOwl desktop app, it writes a short-lived credential to a file in your user profile, and the Blender panel reads it. Sign out and it is removed.

  • No refresh token is stored, so the file only ever holds a short-lived access token
  • Written in one step, so a host never reads half a file
  • Every host integration uses the same credential, so one sign-in covers all of them

Installing it

From the Integrations page in the LoreOwl app. It finds the app's settings folder for you.

What it installs
hyperstone_addon in Blender’s extensions\user_default folder, under %APPDATA%\Blender Foundation\Blender\<version>.
Versions
Blender 4.5 and later. Each Blender version keeps its own add-ons, so each has its own row.
Then
  1. Restart Blender.
  2. In Edit → Preferences → Add-ons, enable “LoreOwl”.
  3. Press N in the 3D viewport and open the LoreOwl tab.
Custom locations
Add a folder by hand, for example a portable install. Folders you add stay after a rescan.
Uninstalling
Removes only what the install added.

What it does not do

  • No version control or file locks in Blender. Those stay in the desktop app.
  • An image sequence uploads as its first frame only.
  • Windows only, because the desktop app that signs it in is.

Engines

LoreOwl builds these.

Host applications
